Auto industry analysts say at least 2 million owners of the popular Explorer will be inconvenienced by Ford's decision to recall and replace all the Firestone Wilderness AT tires on its vehicles.Ford Vice President John Rintamaki says affected customers will be notified of the situation by mail, and the company is promising that the replacement tires will be free. But consumers may have to wait nine months to get them. And independent tire dealers say the real burden is falling on Firestone."Hey, I want to change tires," is what Miami tire salesman Sergio Guzman says his customers are telling him.
