WASHINGTON - Standing resolute behind his controversial nominee for attorney general, President-elect George W. Bush rallies Republican supporters in Washington on Thursday as he prepares for his inauguration on Saturday. Bush arrived in Washington on Wednesday evening after an emotional farewell to his home state of Texas, where he described public service as a "noble calling" and vowed to end "all the partisan bickering and name calling and anger" in Washington.
